About Us

We’re different from the other live-in home care agency providers

We’re Acareius, a 24-hour live-in care agency whose employees have many years of knowledge and experience within the care sector.  Having worked in all areas of this industry, we base our business on the experiences that we have been through. Therefore we feel we are in the best position to understand your needs and wishes, preventing any pitfalls that may arise along the way.

Our Goal

We want you to remain as independent as possible and we want you to remain in your own home throughout your life. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Our focus is for the service user.  To assist the individual person in accordance with their personal needs, in their own home.  To maximise their independence and support them according to their wishes, so that there is a positive outcome to the service users’ way of living, promoting their independence.

We encourage service users to manage for themselves and to take responsibility for their own healthcare and medication as much as possible and not to become dependent on their support worker.  We encourage them to think, plan and act for themselves, taking sensible calculated risks without continually referring to others.

Your service provider is always on hand providing reassurance, should the service user wish to participate in an activity that could substantially put them at risk.  The support worker will advise you of the possible risks and hazards of your actions.  They would create an environment that would minimise any unnecessary risk or danger.

Risk assessments are always carried out on premises, equipment and activities of the service user.

Appreciating that our support worker may not be qualified in areas of beauty, they will try and assist with makeup, manicure and hairdressing and other elements involved in the personal appearance to the best of their ability so that you are able to present yourself as you wish.

We aim to do this minimising any feelings of inferiority, vulnerability or inadequacy that may arise from your disability or ailment.

A pattern of service delivery will be avoided at all times; we are here to work with your wishes and times and not the support workers.  We will respond to your preferences as much as possible.  For example; getting up, or going to bed.  An individuals’ privacy will be respected at all times, free from intrusion or unwelcome attention.

A support worker will only enter a clients’ room with their consent.  A service user has the right not to interact or participate with the care provider if they so wish. This could be when they have friends, family over, or just if they want to be left alone.

We celebrate a wide diversity of ethnic and cultural backgrounds in this country; there for a lot of our carers/service providers are multilingual providing that one-to-one engagement needed to communicate.
We respect the different backgrounds of our service users and accommodate individual differences without censure.
